One of the UK's leading home assistance providers

For more than 24 years HomeServe has made sure life keeps moving for Customers by delivering a range of services, including plumbing, drainage, electrics, heating and much more, though a nationwide network of HomeServe approved engineers.

HomeServe was first established as a joint venture with South Staffordshire Water in 1993 and, since then, has grown both across the UK and internationally. We began with 20 people and now HomeServe Group is a global company, delivering home assistance across Europe and North America. It has a capital value of around £1billion.

In the UK HomeServe has over 3,000 employees, with sites in Walsall (Head Office), Preston, Banbury, London, Nottingham, Leeds and engineers across the UK.

HomeServe works alongside a range of major utility and energy companies – including many familiar household names – to deliver products and services into the nations’ homes. In October 2015, we announced a new partnership with Aviva, the UK’s largest insurer, and in February 2017, Aviva announced a new agreement with HomeServe to provide home assistance cover to its Customers, further strengthening the relationship. Partnerships continue to grow, and in March 2018, we formed a relationship with EON to deliver home assistance to it's Customers.

We are also an award-winning business and have achieved recognition from several prestigious organisations. In 2017, an independent survey from Institute of Customer Service said HomeServe was the most improved company in the UK for Customer Satisfaction in the services sector, demonstrating that we are delivering on our Customer Charter, a set of promises our People live by to ensure that the Customer is truly at the centre of everything we do.

In 2016, HomeServe Labs developed and launched LeakBot, a small, connected device which uses intelligent Thermi Q technology to detect water leaks anywhere on the internal mains water plumbing system – from dripping taps and leaking toilets to hidden leaks on pipes. Despite only being on the market for two years, LeakBot is already award-winning having scooped two industry awards (‘Internet of Things Breakthrough’ Award, Insurance Times and ‘New Product or Service’, Corporate Entrepreneur Awards). Four major insurers – Aviva, RSA Group, Legal & General and Covea Insurance – are also distributing LeakBot to Customers, with other partners being actively sought.

In May 2017, Marketing Week named HomeServe in its top 15 best places for marketers to work in the UK and in June 2017, HomeServe UK, CEO Martin Bennett was hailed as the third highest rated CEO in the UK by Glassdoor. In December 2017, and for the second year running, HomeServe was named in the UK’s top 10 Best Places to Work by independent jobs and recruiting company, Glassdoor. Importantly, the award was based solely on our employees’ voluntary feedback.
