One of the UK’s best places to work

In December 2017, and for the second year running, HomeServe was named in the UK’s top 10 “Best Places to Work” by independent jobs and recruiting company, Glassdoor, achieving 4.3 out of five stars. Importantly, the award was based solely on our employees’ voluntary feedback. 

In the study of businesses employing more than 1,000 staff, we're proud to say HomeServe were joined by Google, Apple and Salesforce in the list of the nation's best companies to work for. 

In August 2017, independent jobs and careers website Glassdoor named HomeServe as one of the UK’s best companies for supporting our employees’ work life balance. Rated the fourth highest UK company for encouraging our employees to have a good balance between their home and work life.

In May 2017 HomeServe was named as one of 15 best places for marketers to work by employer brand website Marketing Week. 300 large brand companies qualified and HomeServe marketing staff were sent a questionnaire, asking them to rate their employer out of five on 15 different metrics.

In January 2016, we were also awarded the UK’s “Best Employer in the Business Services & Supplies Sector” by global business information provider, Bloomberg. The company ran a survey among 1,600 UK firms whose employees were asked about their job satisfaction.

We also won the “Best in Class for Video” at the 2016 Institute of Internal Communications Awards for our “The Big Red Sofa” campaign, and we were proud to add a Silver Award at the Employee Experience Awards for Improving Employee Engagement to our bulging award cabinet.

Recognition for strong leadership

In June 2018, then HomeServe UK CEO, Martin Bennett was named in the top 10 UK CEOs across the country by Glassdoor. The recognition came after Martin received a 94% approval rating based on the anonymous and voluntary reviews employees at our company during 2017 and is the fourth year in the row Martin has made the list.

In November 2017, HomeServe Membership CEO, Greg Reed was awarded 'Most Progressive Leader' and also won a global award for 'Best Leader' by Talent Unleashed awarded with the opportunity to tour Silicon Valley, and meet his hero, Steve Wozniak.

Martin Bennett was also named joint “Most People-Focused CEO” in the UK at the HR Excellence Awards. The successes of our leaders didn’t stop there, during 2016, Greg Reed, Chief Marketing Officer (at the time) was featured as CMO of the month for Corporate Vision Magazine.

Customer Service

We have taken enormous strides to improve our Customer experience across the board, as well as embedding a culture in which our People are empowered and encouraged to ensure every Customer is a priority when they need our support. Our independent scores and reviews from our Customers are continuing to rise. Our Reevoo review score increased during 2016 and our Trustpilot score reached the highest in our company’s history in the same year.

In 2016, the company was also recognised in the UK Customer Satisfaction Index, a bi-annual report on Customer satisfaction published by the UKCSI, as the most improved in the UK for Customer satisfaction in the services sector. 

In 2017, independent financial services website Moneynet awarded us “Best Home Emergency Cover Provider” for the third consecutive year. We are now one of only a handful of companies to receive a coveted “Triple Gold” award.


In 2017, Craig Foster, Managing Director of HomeServe's in-house innovation team, HomeServe Labs was named Tech Champion of the Year by the Insurance Times.

HomeServe Labs also scooped Best New Product at the 2016 Corporate Entrepreneur Awards for LeakBot, a ground breaking piece of intelligent technology, which can detect water leaks in the home. The easy to install smart bot alerts homeowners of leaks in their homes before they become big problem. In the same year, LeakBot was shortlisted for the Internet of Things Breakthrough award at the Insurance Times Tech & Innovations Awards.
